My first Sims Experience
Nick on 13 July 2010
As ashamed as I am to admit it, I have never played the sims. Today, I played it for the first time. I thought that it would be a good idea to write a sort of blog/review type thing. So heres my first Sims experience.
I started by creating a sim. Obviously. The amount of options when creating your sim is incredible. After I had finished creating my sim, ‘John Smith’ (yeah I know, pretty boring), I chose a lot and started playing the game. After a few minutes of poking around, I started to figure out the interface and controls. At first I was confused by the different view controls but after a bit of playing around, I started to understand. A little girl walked over with a newspaper. I wasn’t sure what to do so I clicked on her and a menu came up with options. I was amazed at the simplicity of interacting with other sims in the game. Time passed and it became later. I decided that I should explore my house and see what I could do with the objects inside. Interacting with an object is much the same as with another sim. Simply click on it and a bunch of options come up. Brilliantly implemented.
In a small panel down the bottom corner of the screen, I found little icons representing what my sim wants and needs. I figured out how to feed him and put him to sleep. While he was asleep, I thought it would be good to do some more exploring of the controls. I have to say, so far, my sims experience has been brilliant. The game has been really easy to learn and I feel right at home playing the sims. Stay tuned for my next entry/section.
